  • Promote research on engineering education stakeholder experiences, environmental effects on learning, student wellbeing, teacher training, alternative sustainable livelihoods practices for poverty reduction, economic diversification, and inclusion.
  • Promote academia-industry collaboration to improve the incorporation of industry-relevant skills within the engineering curriculum
  • Support and promote the participation of researchers in global engineering education discussions, trainings, policy dialogue and conferences.
  • Support and promote the publication of engineering education studies and innovations in conference proceedings and journals. 
  • Provide support for engineering teachers/instructors for course redesign, introduction of innovative pedagogies in class, design of scholarly surveys and studies for innovations in the classroom.
  • Contribute to review and development of national and international interventions and policies.
  • To seek opportunities for skill enrichment of members, students and academics through grants, fellowships, academic mobility programmes and short training courses locally and internationally.
  • Contribute to overall national development through promotion of global best practices in engineering education and industrialization.
